PANAMA: White supports the hundreds of Spanish companies interested in the Plan Panama Infrastructure


Development Minister, José Blanco, Panama has backed more than one hundred English companies interested in participating in the Infrastructure Plan that develops in the country with an investment of 10,000 million dollars (about 7,300 million euros) through 2014.

"I can proudly say that English companies are leading in many areas, are competitive and are reliable. They employed highly qualified men and women who are responsible for that, today, English is spoken when it comes to high-speed railway, a modern architecture, renewable energy or telecommunications, "White said during his speech at the infrastructure forum held in Panama.

Development As reported in a statement, it is the first meeting of this kind, involving local authorities and English, which is held in a country Central.

The forum's objective is that the English companies to experience first-hand public works projects to be developed by the Government of Panama. This should have been attended by four ministers of the country, senior officials, members of the English government and some 140 representatives from over a hundred English companies.

Speaking at the conference, White thanked the Government of Panama for its confidence in Spain and in business English, many of them with a presence already in the country with leading civil engineering works such as the expansion of the Panama Canal (Sacyr) and construction of underground capital (FCC).

"I have no doubt that these companies and others that come in the future, are here to stay and to enable their effort and knowledge that bright future that all augur to Panama, "said the minister.

Blanco's participation in this forum is part of the official visit to Panama that develops from last Sunday, and concludes on Tuesday with a visit to the redevelopment of the Panama Canal. On Monday the head of Public Works met with the president, Ricardo Martinelli, and visited the construction of the metro.
